Marrying their dad? Solid life choice. 10/10, would recommend. But the real win was earning my official title: step-“Momster.” 

The name didn’t just appear out of nowhere. The very first day I met my (then 3 y/o) son, he clamped down on my finger like a tiny savage and refused to let go. No joke, had the teeth marks on my finger for two days. So naturally, I called him “Monster.” The nickname stuck—we both loved it, and let’s be honest, it was a great nickname. Fast forward to me becoming their stepmom, and boom: Momster. 

Meanwhile, my daughter is out here making ridiculously cute amigurumi (side note – if  you’re interested shoot me a message because she does sell these and makes them to order), my son is casually running a chicken-and-egg side hustle like a miniature entrepreneur, and I realized we needed some kind of official-ish name to contain all this talent. Thus, the kids picked the name, the font, and Momster Creations was born—hatched, technically, and yes, pun fully intended. 

And now? It’s a real business. Like… paperwork, balancing books, the whole thing.

I’ve always loved designing—logos, websites, flyers, whatever you throw at me—but somewhere along the way I got completely hooked on designing and printing shirts. Maybe it’s the hands-on part. Maybe it’s finally seeing something exist outside of my brain. Maybe it’s just an excuse to make fun stuff people actually wear. Either way, I’m not stopping.
